More About Alana

Namaste. My journey with yoga began in the early 2000's while I was in college. I first started practicing yoga in my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA and I loved it. After I graduated college, I moved to Marysville, OH with my boyfriend at the time (husband now). We joined the YMCA there and I continued my yoga practice there along with spinning and aerobics classes. That's where I first started running 5K races. I would run a few 5K's throughout the year and I really enjoyed it.

We eventually moved to Dublin, OH, which is closer to Columbus. After getting married and buying our first house, I stumbled upon a yoga studio on the second floor of a knitting store. I signed up for the 6 week session of yoga with Malini in 2008 and didn't stop practicing yoga with her until she got pregnant and we moved back to Pittsburgh in 2014. She was the best teacher I've had so far and I can still hear her voice in my head as I teach my students. She is so knowledgeable and such a lovely soul.

My practice of yoga has helped me in so many ways. As I trained and ran many half and full marathons over the years, yoga has been there to keep my muscles strong and as flexible as they can be. It brings me joy to move my body in poses and be able to connect my mind, body, and spirit. It gave me something more to learn and do over the pandemic as I completed my yoga teacher training in 2020 and 2021. I want to bring strength, calmness, and flexibility in mind, body, and spirit to my students. Namaste beautiful souls! Om shanti, shanti, shanti.
